The Scandic Frankfurt on the Museumsufer is planning new "art halls". Photographers who focus on museums around the world must take care of the appropriate illustration.
Today, the "Mission #museumsaroundtheworld", an "EyeEm" photo application contest in cooperation with the Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer, begins. Creatives can submit museum motifs from around the world to the EyeEm app. The focus should be on the buildings and their architecture itself: it can be a private space, an isolated cabin or an international museum such as the Louvre. . The 20 best images will be displayed in the gallery of the Städel Museum in Frankfurt and in the new "Art Rooms" in Scandic on the Museumsufer.
"Städel-room" in the Scandic Museumsufer Frankfurt
The jury is made up of the founders of "EyeEm", Scandic and representatives of the Städel Museum in Frankfurt – an important institution on the international art scene. A room in the Scandic House in Frankfurt will be designed as an official "Städel room". In addition, the winners will receive a weekend for two in the Sky Room of Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer, a travel allowance of € 1,000 and two vouchers for the Städel Museum accompanied by a guided tour of the Museum.
"Art Rooms" also in Hamburg
In the category of Scandic's special rooms, artists choose a theme that suits the hotel environment. The Scandic Hamburg Emporio, for example, exhibits works on the theme of "water". 29 "Art Rooms" present changing designs from different artists like Clueso, Nico Sawatzki or Zezao.
