"Modern (s): Changes in Art and Architecture" is the motto under which the Open Monument Day takes place on Sunday. Where in the county guides are held.
Several thousand monuments will open in Germany on Sunday, September 8th, the day of the opening of the monument. The theme: "Modern (s): upheavals of art and architecture". Since not all events in the district are listed on the official website of the German Foundation for the Protection of Monuments (http://www.tag-des-offenen-denkmals.de), there is no guarantee that they will be complete.
Ballrechten-Dottingen: Alte Mühle, Mühlenstraße 56, Oberdottingen, is open from 11:00 to 18:00. Guided tours are held every hour starting at 12 o'clock.
Breisach: The former Jewish Community Center (Rheintorstraße 3, former Judengasse) opened its doors from 14 to 18 hours. At 2 pm, a guided tour of the Blue House, Judengasse and Synagogue Square takes place at 4 pm, a visit to the new Jewish cemetery on Isenberg. The meeting point is the Blue House on Michael-Eisemann-Platz.
Eichstetten: Loch Becks Farm, Altweg 28, is open from 11:30 to 17:00. Guests can visit the historic Dreiseithof building, garden and oven with an old bakery. Guided tours are available as needed.
Feldberg: The Feldberg tower on the Seebuck was a broadcasting tower until 2001, owned by the Südwestrundfunk. Since 2003, he is in possession of the community. Since July 2018, the entrance and the 11th floor with observation platform are barrier-free. On the day of the open monument, a free visit is possible.
Hartheim: The manor and mansion of the Weinstetter Hof in Eschbach are open from 10:00 to 16:00. Guided tours are available at 10:30 and 13:30. The Maltese used the property as Maierhof from the 13th to the 19th century.
Horben The Schauinslandbahn is open from 9h to 18h. There is an exhibition of photos and a film in the mountain station, a photo exhibition at the valley station, a shuttle bus service with a historic bus as well as guided tours from 11am to 4:30 pm, as needed. Staufen At 1 pm, 2:30 pm and 4 pm, guided tours take place at Bärenbad, Dorfstraße 52 in Staufen-Grunern. The vaulted cellar and common areas can be visited at Farrenstall.
Sulzburg St. Cyriak Church, Klosterplatz 1, is open from 9am to 8pm. There is a flea market in the city hall next door, guided tours are available at 12.00 and 15.30 (meeting point in front of the church).
Vogtsburg: Guided tours of the old town and Burkheim Renaissance Castle take place at 11:00, 15:00 and 17:00. At 10 pm, guided tour of the night watchman. The meeting point is the gate of the city Winzerstraße. From 11h to 20h, you can visit the Protestant Church of St. Lawrence Bischoffingen (Bergstraße 1). The St. Romanus Branch Church in Altvogtsburg is open from 12h to 15h (guided tours as needed, offer for children). The Kaiserstühler Weinbaumuseum, Schlossbergstraße 34, in Achkarren, opens from 11 am to 5 pm with the exhibition "Burg und Herrschaft – Höhingen Castle in the mirror of finds and written documents". Guided tours are available as needed. The St. Michael Church of Niederrotweil is open from 11:00 to 17:00 (guided tours on request), the Wachthiisli of Oberrotweil from 11:00 to 17:00.
