Vertical LEDs increase cannabis farm light in MedMen

MedMen recently transformed a traditional single-level cultivation unit using high pressure sodium lamps (HPS) into a multilevel vertical illumination culture using Fluence SPYDR and RAZR LED lighting systems. See more:

The new plant is optimized to increase revenue per square foot, with all phases of plant growth – from proliferation to bloom – growing under vertical LED Fluence lights.

This conversion has:
-It reduces cycle time to eight-week stalks by up to 25 percent, reducing production time by 5 to 7 days for the retail flower market and by 12 to 14 days for the mining and derivatives markets.

– Reduce cost per pound of finished product by 300 percent.

-Regulated energy consumption per lamp by 40%, from about 1,100 Watts per light to 660 Watts per light.

– Increase the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) load by approximately 35% per square foot dome.

– More than twice the production per square foot. reduced land requirements by 50 percent.

-Increase crop yield by 157% while reducing water and fertilizer use.

– Improved stable, universal quality of flowers and chemotype with denser trichromatic development.
